What the 60-minute session is like

Before we start we talk: what hurts, what you're looking for and what you don't like to have touched. During the 60 minutes the pressure is adjusted to your tolerance, and you set the limit. We prepare the suite with warm light and everything disinfected in front of you.

Frequently asked questions

Does deep tissue massage hurt?

It's an intense massage, but it doesn't have to hurt. The pressure is always adjusted to your tolerance and you set the limit throughout the session. If something bothers you, tell us and we lower the intensity. Before we start we talk about what hurts and what you don't like to have touched.

What's the difference between hot stones and cupping?

Hot stones add warmth to the area we work on; cupping uses gentle suction on the skin. Both are a $20 add-on to the deep tissue massage. If you're not sure which to choose, tell us how you feel when you arrive at the suite and we'll help you decide.

How often should I repeat it?

It depends on your tension, your work and how your body responds to the first session. When we finish we tell you what's realistic for you, with no pressure. Many people use it as maintenance when tension builds up again in the back or neck.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Wear comfortable clothes. In the suite you have privacy to change and we keep you covered with sheets during the massage, uncovering only the area we work on. If you have a preference or an area you don't want touched, tell us before the session starts in South Gate.
